Keeps Reminding About His Favor..

The Owner of Jannah (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) said: The one who keeps reminding about his favor to the other will not enter Paradise. [#Sunan #Tirmidhi, #Hadtih 1970]

Hara Ghumbad Jo Dekhoge Zamana Bhool Jaoge...

Hara Gumbad jo dekhoge zamana bhool jaoge,
Kabhi jab Taybah  jaoge to aana bhool jaaoge.

Tumhare samne hoga kabhi jab Gumbad e Khazra,
Nazar jam jaayegi us par hatana bhool jaaoge.

Rukh e Anwar ke aage jagmagana bhool jaaoge.

Kabhi aakar ke dekho Mehfil e Na'at e Shah e Deeñ meiñ,
To mera dawa hai gaana bajaana bhool jaaoge,

Nabi ke Dar ki sookhi rotiyoñ meiñ aisi lazzat hai,

Strangest Thing A Pastor Saw; Murderer of Sayyiduna Ali

Ismah Abbadani said: I was wandering in a jungle, when I came across a church. Nearby was a pastor’s monastery. When I saw the pastor inside the monastery, I asked him to tell me about the strangest thing he had seen in this (deserted) place. So he said: ‘Once I saw a monstrous white bird here, which resembled an ostrich. It sat on a stone and vomited. First it spewed out a human’s head, and then it spewed out other body parts. It continuously kept vomiting and every time different body parts barfed out and with lightening speed these parts joined together to form a full man. As the man started to stand up, the monstrous bird pecked on the man, cut him again into pieces and ate him back. That horrifying sequence continued for several days. My belief strengthened in God’s powers after witnessing that incident, that surely God Almighty has the powers to give death and then bring us back to life.

One day, I drew my attention towards the gigantic bird and asked it, ‘For the sake of the One Who gave you life! This time when this human is formed, leave him alone so I can ask him about his actions. The bird replied in fluent Arabic, ‘My Rabb is the King and He is eternal, everything else is mortal. I am an angel designated to continuously punish him for his sin.’ Next time, when the human was formed, I asked him, ‘O human, who has wronged his soul! Who are you and what is your story?’ He replied, ‘I am Abdur Rahman Ibn Muljim, the murderer of the Valiant Lion of Allah, Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahu Anhu. After I died, I was given my Book of Deeds. All my actions – good or evil – were recorded in it from my birth to the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahu Anhu. Then Allah ordered this angel to punish me till the Day of Judgment.’ The man did not say anything after this, and the monstrous bird pecked at him, swallowed him and left.’

Important Islamic Jurisprudence [Fiqh] Terminology

» Fard – Obligatory: An act commanded by Allah in the Holy Qur’an is known as Fard. The following explains a Fard in detail:

a. An act that is obligatory to be executed
b. It has been proven by rigorously authenticated texts
c. The denial of any Fard renders one to come out of the folds of Islam.
d. If one omits to perform any Fard without any valid shari’i reason, then such a person becomes a fasiq (transgressor) and the person is regarded as a major sinner. [Fatawa Ridawiyyah – Vol. 2, Page 194]

» Wajib – Necessary:

An act that is almost as compulsory as a Fard. The Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam never omitted it. It is a graded second, below a Fard in its necessity.

a. An act that is compulsory to do.
b. It is proven by religious arguments through ijtihad.
c. One who denies a Wajib is misguided.
d. If one omits a Wajib without any valid shari’i reason, then he is a transgressor and liable for the punishment of Hell.
e. To miss a Wajib once (deliberately, without any valid reason) is a minor sin (Gunah-e-Saghira). However, persistently omitting a Wajib shall turn it into a major sin (Gunah-e-Kabira).

» Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah:

“Sunnat” generally means: an act done or liked by the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam in relation to worship. One shall gain reward for performing a Sunnah, but there is no sin of on omits it. However, to continually omit it is a sin, and if one shows dissatisfaction to a Sunnah, then this is kufr (disbelief).

a. Sunnat-e-Mu’akkada is an act necessary to perform.
b. An act that was always performed by the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, but occasionally omitted so as to differentiate from something that is Wajib.
c. One gains the displeasure of Allah Most High and His Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam if a Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah is omitted even if it is occasionally. Thus, making it a habit to omit a Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah is an act of earning even more displeasure of Allah and His Beloved and inevitably, one becomes liable for punishment.
d. The status of a Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah is near a Wajib.
e. Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah is sometimes known as Sunnat-e-Huda.

» Sunnat-e-Ghayr Mu’akkadah:

a. If it is performed one shall reap reward.
b. The Messenger of Allah had performed such an act, but also omitted it without any reason.
c. To omit a Sunnat-e-Ghayr Mu’akkadah is disliked in the Islamic Law (Shari’ah). However, one is not punished for this.
d. Sunnat-e-Ghayr Mu’akkadah is also known as Sunnat-e-Zawa’id.

» Mustahab – Desirable Acts:

a. An act that is appreciated by the Sacred Islamic Law (Shari’ah)
b. There is no harm if one omits it
c. One gains reward for doing it, but one is not punished for omitting it.

» Mubah:

a. An act that is neither commanded nor prohibited by the Shari’ah.
b. There is no reward for doing it, and no punishment or omitting it.

» Haram – Unlawful:

a. Totally forbidden in Islam.
b. Proven by rigorously authenticated texts.
c. Anyone who denies something proven from the Qur’an and Hadith to be Haram, becomes a kafir.
d. If this act is committed deliberately and intentionally, even once, then such a person is a transgressor (fasiq), and has committed a major sin (Gunah-e-Kabira). Thus, such a person shall be punished.
e. To refrain from such acts is rewarded.
f. Haram is considered the opposite of Fard.

» Makruh-e-Tehrimi:

“Makruh” generally means something that is not desirable i.e. something that is disliked by the Islamic Law.

a. Makruh-e-Tehrimi is something that is essential to refrain from.
b. To do an act that is Makruh-e-Tehrimi is a sin and against the commands of the Shari’ah.
c. Anyone who does it is a Fasiq, and will be punished.
d. There is reward to refrain from such acts.
e. If such acts are done once, then they are not classed as a major sin. However, to persevere on such acts does turn it into a major sin (Gunah-e-Kabira).
f. It is considered the opposite of a Wajib.

» Isa’at:

a. An act that is necessary to avoid.
b. It is considered the opposite of Sunnat-e-Mu’akkadah.

» Makruh-e-Tanzihi:

a. An act that is disliked by the Shari’ah.
b. If this act is done, then there is no sin or punishment. However, it is bad to make it a habit of doing such an act.
c. One gains reward for not doing it.
d. It is considered the opposite of Sunnat-e-Ghayr Mu’akkadah.

» Khilaf-e-Awla:

It is best to avoid such acts, but if done then there is no sin or punishment. It is considered the opposite of Mustahab.

My Heart Will Glow Through My Love For The Prophet's Unique Station...

‎”My heart will glow through my love for the Prophet’s unique station;
Having heard that the night is dark, I am carrying this lamp for illumination.

O Prophet! The footprints of your servants are the surest guide to Allah–consciousness;
Those, who follow their example, are destined to achieve supreme spiritual success.

The graves of the lovers of your four Companions will become the bowers of Paradise:
Those, who carry four gardens in their hearts, will certainly be made flowers of Paradise.

They went, paid their homage to your grave and came back with pangs of separation;
Though the tears have dried in their eyes, their hearts are still full of admiration.

Some Paradise-mad people have degraded themselves to the level of rooks;
They should know that Madinah, the radiant, is the very essence of Paradise–brooks.

The cloud of your conversation possesses neither moisture nor texture;
An eloquent person has to bring his own eloquence to create literary pleasure.

Is there anything more significant than praising Allah’s Messenger?
Obviously, you are pretending to run away under a deceptive cover.

O Prophet! Your elegance and grace have been upheld by the Creator.
Even Jibreel cannot dare to understate the excellence of your splendour.”

Peace Be Upon That Life-Bestowing Gaze...

Prophetic Hilya in the words of Imam Ahmad Rida Khan

Wheresoever it fell, Life itself was revived
Peace be upon that life-bestowing gaze

Whom did he see? Let someone enquire of Moses
Peace be upon the courage of one with such eyes!

Those ears which can hear from both near and from afar
Peace be upon that mine: rubies of charismata!

How delicate the petals of that holy rose!
Peace be upon the exquisiteness of those lips!

From his clustered pearls, radiate those roots of light
Peace be upon the enchantment of those stars!

A mouth whose ev’ry word: divine revelation!
Peace be upon the fount of knowledge and wisdom

Its water makes both spirits and gardens verdant
Peace be upon the moisture of such a mouth!

From it saline wells became sweet like syrup
Peace be upon that sweet, clear, spring water!

A tongue which is known to all as the key to `Be!’
Peace be upon its effective commandments

Countless blessings upon his lov’ly oratory
Peace be upon his heart-enticing eloquence!

Countless blessings upon the pleasure of his words!
Peace be upon the majesty of his sermons

A beard of pleasant length, a salve for the heart’s wounds
Peace be upon the halo around the rarest moon!

A beard around the mouth – striking loveliness!
Peace be upon that beard of the stream of mercy!

From it are flowing streams of milk and honey
Peace be upon the freshness of such a throat!

Lofty nobility from shoulder to shoulder
Peace be upon the majesty of such shoulders!

The Black Stone of the Ka’aba of the heart and soul!
Peace be upon the Seal of Apostleship!

No partner, sum total, matchless, unparalled!
Peace be upon this unique, solitary pearl!

The arm oblivious to the weight of both worlds
Peace be upon the power of such an arm!

Two pillars of the Ka’aba of Faith, Religion
Peace be upon the two wrists of Prophethood

Wherever his hand was raised he made others rich
Peace be upon the waves of this Sea of Bounty

Fountains of light do cascade, and rivers flow out
Peace be upon the miracle of the fingers!

The crescent moon of the Eid of Succour glimmered
Peace be upon the good news of the fingernails!

Loftiest blessings on his zikr’s majestic glory!
Peace be upon the cleaving of leadership’s chest!

Your heart is beyond my ken but I shall say this:
Peace be upon the bud holding secrets of Oneness!

The world’s his dominion yet he eats barley bread!
Peace be upon the contentedness of that stomach!

`Twas tightened with the intention of Intercession
Peace be upon the protection of that waist!

Messengers do bend their knees in their presence
Peace be upon the dignity of such knees!

Antiquity: his essence’ stem; grace: his palm tree’s branch
Peace be upon the candle of the Straight Path!
The Qur’an gave an oath by the dust of thy path!
Peace be upon the reverence of such a foot!

The shadow of mercy of his shadowless stature
Peace be upon that extended, kindly shadow!

He whose turtledoves are the birds of Paradise
Peace be upon his erect height and his stature

The heads of the rulers remain bowed before it
Peace be upon the crown on his towering head!

Dew from Truth’s garden: beads of sweat from his face
Peace be upon his pure veracious brilliance!

Fragrant blessings be upon such delicate fragrance!
Peace be upon such lovely, lovely refinement!

- Selections from the World Renowned salam “Mustafa Jaan-e-Rahmat” written in urdu by Imam Ahmad Raza (Allah shower mercy upon him) describing the Beloved Messenger of Allah and His Companions and Family (upon him and them all peace and blessings).

Neki Ka Kaam Karte Rehne Ko...

Koi Taarif Kare Ya Buraai Uski Parwaah Kiye Bagair
Neki Ka Kaam Karte Rahne ko Ikhlaas Kehte Hai.”

~ Hazrat Zunnun Misri (Rahmatullah Alayh)

Ya Allah hume ikhlaas ata kar, takabbur, riyakari se dur rakh, taubah par istikamat ataa kar aur Neki ki dawat dene wala bana de.
Aameen Allahumma Aameen.

The Fruit!!!

When I got mad today and hit my child"For his own good," I reconciled,And then I realized my plight ...Today, I taught my child to fight.

When interrupted by the phone,I said, "Tell them I'm not home."And then I thought, and had to sigh ...Today I taught my child to lie.

I told the tax man what I made,Forgetting cash that was paid,And than I blushed at this sad feat ...Today I taught my child to cheat.

I smugly copied a cassette,To keep me from one more debt,But now the bells of shame must peal ...Today I taught my child to steal.

Today I cursed another race,Oh God, protect what I debase,For now, I fear it is too late ...Today I taught my child to hate.

By my example, children learn That I must lead in life's sojourn,In such a way they are led By what is done and not what is said.

Today I gave my child his due By praise for him instead of rue.And now I have begun my guide;Today I gave my child his pride.

I now have reconciled and paid To IRS all that I have made. And now I know that this dear youth,Today has learned from me the truth.

The alms I give are not for show,And yet, this child must surely know That charity is worth the price:Today he saw my sacrifice.

I clasp within a warm embrace My neighbor of another race. The great commandment from up above.Today I taught my child to love.

Someday my child must face life alone This fearsome undertone,But I have blazed a sure pathway:Today I taught my child to pray.

When Our Fathers Irritate Us...

An old man was sitting in the courtyard of his house along with his son who had received a high education. Suddenly a crow perched on a wall of the house. The father asked the son: What is this? The son replied: It is a crow. After a little while the father again asked the son: What is this? The son said: It is a crow.

After a few minutes the father asked his son the third time: What is this? The son said: Father, I have just now told you that this is a crow. After a little while the old father again asked his son the fourth time: what is this? By this time some statement of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he rebuffed his father: Father! It is a crow, a crow. A little after the father again asked his son: What is this?

This time the son replied to his father with a vein of temper. Father: You are always repeating the same question, although I have told you so many times that it is a crow. Are you not able to understand this?

The father went to his room and came back with an old diary.

Opening a page he asked his son to read what was written.
What the son read were the following words written in the diary:
'Today my little son was sitting with me in the courtyard, when
a crow came there. My son asked me twenty-five times what
it was and I told him twenty-five times that it was a crow and I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my
innocent child.'

The father then explained to his son the difference between a father's and a son's attitude. While you were a little child you
asked me this question twenty-five times and I felt no irritation in replying to the question twenty-five times and when today I asked you the same question only five times, you felt irritated,
annoyed and impatient with me.

Allah mentions in Surah Bani-Israil 17:23-24
And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him.
And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of
disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.

And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your
Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small."

VITA VYA UHUD (KISWAHILI)

Assalaamu alaikum,
Natumai hamjambo.
AYA: WALAA TAQULU LIMAN YUQTALU FI SABILILLAHI AMWAATUM BAL AHYAA-UN WALAA KIN LAA TASH-URUN. (SURA: AL BAQARAH – 154).
AYA: WALAA TAHSABANNALLADHINA QUTILU FI SABILILLAHI AMWAATUM BAL AHYAA-UN INDA RABBIHIM YURZAQUN. (SURA: AALI IMRAN – 169).

Maswali / maoni yanakaribishwa

A Du’aa After Every Fardh Salaah...

“Allahumma a`inni ala zikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni `ibadatika”
O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner …
We have to make Shukr to Allah for so many bounties. We are alive this morning, we are able to walk, we are able to speak, we are able to eat, we are able to see, we are able to move our limbs … All these are great bounties from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala … We have woken up this morning as believers! What a great Ni’mat from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. A time will come when a person will sleep at night as a believer but will wake up in the morning as a disbeliever. Allah save us! We should continue to make sincere shukr to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and recite this prescribed Du’aa everyday …
One day the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam took Hadrat Mu’adh ibn Jabal’s (Radi Allahu Anhu) hand and said to him, “O Mu’adh, I love you.” Mu’adh responded, “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah (Peace & Blessings Be Upom Him), I love you (too).” Then the Prophet (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) said, “I advise you, O Mu’adh, say at the end of every prayer, ‘O Allah, aid me in Your remembrance, Your thanks, and in perfecting Your worship.”

Always Be On Guard...

Several years ago, an Imam from out-of-state accepted a call to a Mosque in Houston, Texas.

Some weeks later after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.

As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, "You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it".

Then he thought, "Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare, they will never miss it.

"Accept it as a 'gift from ALLAH' and keep quiet", another thought came in his mind.

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change".

The driver, with a smile, asked, "Aren't you the new Imam in town?".

"Yes", he replied.

"'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I will see you at the mosque"

When the Imam stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, "Oh ALLAH, I almost sold you for a
quarter".

Our lives are the only Quran some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Muslims and will put us to the test! Always be on guard - and remember - You carry your IMAN on your shoulders when you call yourself "A Muslim"

- Watch your thoughts; they become words.

- Watch your words; they become actions.

- Watch your actions; they become habits.

- Watch your habits; they become character.

- Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Raza Ka Qalam Bolta Hai...

SitamGar Jahaa Bhi Sitam Bolta Hai, Wahaa Ek RAZA Ka Qalam Bolta Hai.

Mujadidd They AHMAD RAZA KHAN Yaqeenan, Arab Se Imaame Haram Bolta Hai.

RAZA They RAZA-E-ILAAHI Me Raazi, Zamaane Ka Ahle-Qalam Bolta Hai.

Raho Bad Aqeedo Se Hoshiyaar Har Dam, Ye ILME RAZA Ka Qalam Bolta Hai.

Khudaya Har Ek Jahaan Hai Tera (Urdu Lyrics)

Written By: Dr. Muhammed Husain Mushahid Razvi

Ye Jaan Bhi Tumhari Hai...

Naqsha Tera Dilkash He Surat Teri Pyari Hai,
Jisne Bhi Tujhe Dekha, So (100) Jaan Se Waari Hai.

Kya Pesh Karu Moula Kya Cheez Hamari Hai,
Ye Dil Bhi Tumhara Hai, Ye Jaan Bhi Tumhari Hai

Fidaka Abbi Wa Ummi Ya RasoolAllah

Value Everyone!

"And lower your wing for the believers (be courteous to the fellow believers)". Qur'an-(15:88)

A Sheikh started off his lecture by holding up a $100 note . In the Masjid filled with about 500 people, he asked, "Who would like this $100 note?"
Hands started going up…

He said, "I am going to give this $100 note to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the money up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his feet.

He picked it up, now all crumpled, slightly worn out and a bit dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make, circumstances that come our way and by what others harmfully inflict upon us.

We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Allah has made you special - Don't ever forget it!

Value what Allah has given us, treasure every person and do not look down upon anyone!

Nu`man bin Bashir (May Allah bepleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) said,

"The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever" He (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) illustrated this by interlacing the fingers of both his hands. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
