The Virtue of Counting the Remembrance of Allah on the Fingertips

Someone once asked the Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah, whether the practice of counting the remembrance of Allah Almighty on one's fingertips, is mentioned in the Hadith Shareef?

The Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah responded:

"There is no specific prescribed method detailed in the Hadith Shareef; however, there is a narration which says:

وَاعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ مُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ

Translation: Count the Tasbeeh and remembrance of Allah

Almighty upon the fingertips, for indeed they will be questioned, and they will be made to speak.
