Translation: Hazrat Raabi'ah Basriyah Rahmatullahi Alaiha would
spend the entire night in Salaah, and when the time of Fajr approached, she would sleep briefly. Upon waking, she would say: "O Nafs! How long will you sleep and how long will you remain heedless? Soon, you will sleep a slumber from which you will not awaken until the morning of Resurrection. This remained her practice until she passed away."-(Roohul Bayaan Fi Tafseeril Qur'an, Surah Furqaan, under the Verse of 64, Volume 6, Page 257/ Darul Kutbul Ilmiyah Beirut)

Translation: Never did the time for Salaah arrive except that I was already longing for it, and never did it begin except that I was prepared for it.
On another occasion, he remarked:

One Who Remembers Death Abundantly
Ibn Abid-Dunya reported from Hazrat Hasan Radi Allahu who said, 'No Person Necessitates Upon His Heart The Continuous Remembrance of Death, Except That The World Becomes Insignificant For Him, And Everything In It Becomes Worthless To Him.' In other words, the world seems insignificant in the sight of one who remembers death abundantly.

Translation: I had the honour of serving my master, Hazrat Shaikh
Muhyuddeen Abdul Qadir Jilani RadiAllahu Anhu, for forty years. Throughout this entire period, he would consistently offer the Fajr Salaah with the same ablution performed for Isha Salaah. It was his constant habit that whenever his state of wudu was invalidated, he would immediately renew it and offer two units of voluntary Salaah.
(Bahjatul-Asraar, Page 164, Darul Kutbul Ilmiyah, Beirut)
It is also transmitted that Sayyiduna Ghaus-e-A'zam RadiAllahu Anhu used to perform one thousand units of Nafl Salaah daily.

The Deep Devotion Of Hazrat Junaid Baghdaadi Alaihir Rahmah
The deep devotion and spiritual discipline of Hazrat Junaid Baghdaadi Alaihir Rahmah are beautifully captured in Siyaru A'laamin Nubala, where it is recorded:
كَانَ الجُنَيْدُ يَفْتَحُ حَانُوتَهُ وَيَدْخُلُ، فَيُسْبِلُ السِّتْرَ، وَيُصَلِّي أَرْبَعَ مِائَةِ رَكْعَةٍ
Translation: Hazrat Junaid Baghdaadi Alaihir Rahmah would open his shop, go inside, draw the curtain, and offer four hundred units (rak'aats) of voluntary Salaah. After completing his worship, he would return home.

With sincerity, consistency, and time management, one can remain devoted to Allah Almighty while fulfilling worldly responsibilities. The Noble Devotional Practice of Sayyiduna Bilal
The Noble Devotional Practice of Hazrat Bilal RadiAllahu Anhu
Hazrat Bilal RadiAllahu Anhu, the first mu'azzin of Islam, was known for his deep devotion and spiritual consistency.
Hazrat ibne Buraidah RadiAllahu Anhu narrates:
Translation: One morning, the Messenger of Allah awoke and called for
Hazrat Bilal RadiAllahu Anhu. He said, "O Bilal! What deed has caused you to precede me in Paradise? Last night, I entered Paradise and heard the sound of your footsteps ahead of me." With utmost humility, Hazrat Bilal RadiAllahu Anhu replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I never give the Azaan without first offering two rak'aat of Salaah, and whenever my state of wudu is broken, I immediately renew it." The Holy Prophet affirmed, "It is because of this." (Musnad Imam Ahmad Volume 38 page 148 / Mu'assasah al-Risaalah Beirut)
This narration highlights the virtue of offering two voluntary rak'aat after every ablution, a practice known as Tahiyyatul Wudu. When performed outside of the Makrooh (disliked) times, it carries immense spiritual merit. The following hadith from Saheeh Muslim further affirms its reward: "Whoever perfects his wudu and performs two rak'aat Salaah with full presence of heart and mind, Paradise becomes obligatory for him."
(Saheeh Muslim Shareef, Chapter of purification).

The Devotion And Sacrifice of Imam Husain - Part 2
The Devotion And Sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Husain RadiAllahu Anhu
We can understand how much Hazrat Sayyiduna Imam Husain RadiAllahu Anhu loved the Qur'an and Salaah from this event. On the 9th of Muharram, when there was no hope left for peace with the Yazidi army, Hazrat Imam Husain RadiAllahu Anhu asked his brother if the battle could be delayed until the next day. He wanted to spend the night worshiping Allah Almighty. He said:
Translation: Maybe we can spend this night performing Salaah to our
Rabb, suplicating to Him, and seeking His forgiveness. He knows that I love performing Salaah to Him, reading His Book, and often asking for His forgiveness.
(Al Kaamil fit-Taareekh Volume 3 Page 415/Darul Kutbul Ilmiyah Beirut)
A Powerful Lesson:
The blessed life of Hazrat Imam Husain RadiAllahu Anhu teaches that true faith shines brightest in hardship. On the night before the Battle of Karbala, instead of preparing for the battle, he sought time for Salaah, Qur'an recitation, dua, and istighfaar, showing his deep devotion to Allah Almighty. This teaches us that worship is not only for times of ease. A true believer remains connected to Allah Almighty even in trials. Hazrat Imam Husain's (RadiAllahu Anhu) example is a timeless reminder of patience, devotion, and unwavering trust in Allah Almighty.

He then recited the entire Qur'an in a single rak'at and completed his Salaah.
(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Volume. 3, Page. 119, Maktabah Rahmaaniyah, Lahore)
A Practical Message:
Hazrat Uthman-e-Ghani Radi Allahu Anhu devoted his days and nights to worship and Qur'an recitation. Sadly, many homes today lack this blessing. Let us follow his example and make the Qur'an a part of our daily lives along with other acts of worship.
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to do so. Aameen

The Deep Devotion of Sayyiduna Umar in Worship
The Deep Devotion of Hazrat Umar RadiAllahu Anhu in Worship
Hazrat Sayyiduna Umar Farooq RadiAllahu Anhu was deeply devoted to worship. Nightly Salaah was his regular practice, and Salaah was the solace of his soul. Every act of devotion he performed with profound humility, full presence of heart, and utmost sincerity. Therefore Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam RadiAllahu Anhu states:
Translation: The leader of the believers, Hazrat Sayyiduna Umar Farooq Radi Allahu Anhu would remain engaged in the night Salaah for as long as Allah Almighty willed. In the final part of the night, he would awaken his family with a heartfelt call:
"Salaah! Salaah!" Then he would recite the verse of the Holy Qur'an:"And command your household to establish Salaah, and yourself be steadfast in it; we do not ask any sustenance from you; we will provide you sustenance; and the excellent result is for piety. (Surah Ta-Ha 20:132)
(Shuabul Imaan Volume 3 Page 127/Darul Kutbul Ilmiyah Beirut)
Practical Messages
This narration reminds us that Salaah is not just a personal duty, it is the spiritual foundation of every home and community. A household leader is not merely a provider of material needs, but a guardian of faith and values. Hazrat Umar Radiallahu Anhu taught by example: practicing what he preached, gently awakening his family for Salaah, reminding them with love, and reciting the Qur'an to touch their hearts. This is the Prophetic way, filled with wisdom, compassion, and sincerity. May Allah Almighty grant us and our families steadfastness in Salaah. Aameen.

The Deep Devotion of Hazrat Abu Bakr RadiAllahu Anhu in Worship
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddique RadiAllahu Anhu was deeply devoted to worship, performing each act with remarkable reverence, humility, and sincerity. He was particularly mindful in Salaah, ensuring that it was offered with complete concentration and stillness. Hazrat Sahl bin Saa'd RadiAllahu Anhu reports:
Translation: Hazrat Abu Bakr Radiallahu Anhu would remain completely focused during Salaah, never allowing his gaze to wander.
(Kitaab Fazaailus Sahaabah, Volume 1, Page 207)
Hazrat Mujaahid Alaihir Rahma narrates:
Translation: Hazrat Ibne Zubair RadiAllahu Anhu stood for Salaah, he would become so still that he appeared like a motionless wooden post. He would say that Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique RadiAllahu Anhu used to perform Salaah in the same manner. This, he explained, is the essence of khushu (inner reverence) and khudu (outward humility) in Salaah.

Mistakes Into Motivation
Shaykh Muhaq'qiq Says:
Nabi ﷺ always praised people when they did something good. He ﷺ would consistently encourage them, support their efforts, and strengthen their resolve. If someone made a mistake or fell into error, He ﷺ would correct them and advise them to refrain from engaging in wrongful or corrupt actions.

The Condition of the Holy Prophet ﷺ During Salaah
The Condition of the Holy Prophet ﷺ During Salaah
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shikhkheer RadiAllahu Anhu describes how the Holy Prophet ﷺ performed his Salaah:
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلَّى، وَفِي صَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَازِيزِ الرَّحَى مِنَ البُكَاءِ، صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Translation: One time, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing Salaah, and from his blessed chest came a sound like the bubbling of a boiling pot because He ﷺ Shareef) was weeping deeply.
(Abu Dawood
Key Lessons from the Hadith Shareef:
Salaah is not merely a series of physical actions; its true spirit lies in heartfelt presence, reverence for Allah Almighty, and deep humility. This narration highlights the spiritual depth of the Holy Prophet's worship, marked by a tender heart and a profound connection with Allah Almighty, serving as a perfect model for us to follow. It teaches us that the most meaningful Salaah is one performed with sincerity, humility, and heartfelt supplication. We should therefore strive to make our Salaah like those of the Holy Prophet, not limited to outward rituals, but filled with inner focus, fear of Allah Almighty, and true devotion. Such Salaah protects us from sin and draws us nearer to our Creator.
The Beloved Prophet ﷺ And His Love For Salaah
The Beloved Prophet ﷺ And His Love For Salaah
Our Beloved Prophet ﷺ had a deep and abiding love for Salaah. He described it as "the coolness of my eyes."
(Mu'jam-e-Kabeer)
Whenever the time for Salaah approached, He ﷺ would say to Hazrat Bilal RadiAllahu Anhu: "O Bilal, arise and bring us comfort through Salaah." (Abu Dawood Shareef)
A Call to Reflect and Act
These sacred words teach us that a true believer should not view Salaah as a burden or an obligation to be endured, but rather as a source of inner peace, a means of salvation, and a pathway to nearness with Allah Almighty. A Muslim should make Salaah the very center of their life. Upon hearing the Adhaan, one should set aside worldly engagements and turn wholeheartedly toward Salaah, seeking in it both tranquility and divine connection.
Remember Death 20 Times Every Day
It has been reported that someone asked, 'Ya Rasoolullah ﷺ! Will anyone else be raised alongside the martyrs (Shuhada)?' He ﷺ replied, 'Yes, the one who remembers death twenty times in a (single) day and night.'

Are Your Good Deeds Actually Counting
Words Of Wisdom From The Companions
Every good deed should be done solely for the sake of Allah Almighty. If performed to please others or gain worldly benefit, it becomes Riya (showing off) and is rejected by Allah Almighty. The reward is then left to the one for whom it was done, resulting in neither worldly benefit nor reward in the Hereafter.
Therefore, Hazrat Abul-Aaliyah Alaihir Rahmah said:
Translation: Some of the noble Companions of the Messenger of Allah once visited me and offered this sincere advice:
O Abul-Aaliyah! Never perform any deed to seek the approval of anyone other than Allah Almighty. If you do, Allah Almighty will leave you to seek your reward from the one for whom you did that deed. And never place your trust in anyone besides Allah Almighty. If you do. Allah Almighty will leave you dependent on the one you relied upon." (Al-Ikhlaas Wan-Niyyah)
