As-Salamu'Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
From the Hadith, the Fuqaha have derived that one should stand after Iqamah has finished saying Ash Hadu-Ana Muhammad Ar Rasul Allah, so that Sunnah of Sahaba is followed. Here is what Fuqaha had to say:
Imam Badr ud-din Ayni (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) said: Imam Abu Hanifa (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) and Imam Muhammad (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) said:
When Muadhin says
“Hayya al as-salah” at that point the people should stand up in their rows …and if Imam is not in Masjid then people should not stand until they have seen him
[ Umdat al Qari, Sharh Sahih al Bukhari (5/153) ]
“Hayya al as-salah” at that point the people should stand up in their rows …and if Imam is not in Masjid then people should not stand until they have seen him
[ Umdat al Qari, Sharh Sahih al Bukhari (5/153) ]
In Fatawa al Alamgiri the famous Hanafi manual of Fiqh, it is stated: When the Muadhin says “Hayya al as-Salah” then people and Imam should stand up, this is the correct way “
ACCORDING TO THREE IMAMS (HANAFI, SHAFI’I AND HANBLI)”[Fatawa al Alamgiri (1/57)]
ACCORDING TO THREE IMAMS (HANAFI, SHAFI’I AND HANBLI)”[Fatawa al Alamgiri (1/57)]
=> Conclusion: We should remain seated until we are done with hearing the blessed name of Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him)
As it is said,
"Dua is a True Muslim's Weapon"
