It is reported by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radi Allahu Anhu) that the Noble Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has said, "Allah will say on the Day of Judgement: ‘O son of Adam! Why did you not visit Me when I was ill.’ He would say, ‘O my Rab! How could I visit You, whereas You are Rab of all the worlds.’ Allah will then say, ‘Did you not know that My so-and-so bondman had fallen ill and you did not visit him. If you had visited him, you would have found Me with him.’
Allah will say then, ‘O son of Adam! I asked you for food, why did you not feed Me?’ He would say, ‘O Allah! How would I feed You when You are Rab of all the worlds.’ Allah will say, ‘Did My so-and-so bondman not beg food of you? But you did not feed him. Did you not know that if you had fed him, you would have found its reward from Me?’
Then Allah will say, ‘O son of Adam! I asked you for water, why did you not give Me water to drink?’ He would say, ‘O Allah! How would I give You water to drink when You are Rab of all the worlds.’ Allah will say, ‘Did My so-and-so bondsman not ask you for water? But you did not give him water. If you had given water to him, you would certainly have found its reward from Me.’" [Sahih Muslim, Page 1389, Hadith 2569]
