Who’s fooling who???...April Fool’s Day.

It may be "cool"…but it’s a foolish and unislamic practise of another fool!

Allah, The Most Wise, says:

 "Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies." (Qur’an-40:28)

"Curse of Allah upon those who lie." (Qur’an-3:61)

 

Origins and History of April Fool Day

There are differing opinions concerning how this day originated:

·          Some said it developed from the celebrations of spring at the equinox on March 21.
·         Some said that this innovation appeared in France in 1564 CE, after the introduction of a new calendar, when a person who had refused to accept the new calendar became the victim of some people who had subjected him to embarrassment and made fun of him, so he became a laughing-stock for others.
·         Some said that this innovation goes back to ancient times and the pagan celebrations connected to a specific date at the beginning of spring, so this is the remnant of pagan rituals. It was said that hunting in some countries was unsuccessful during the first days of the hunt in some countries. This was the origin of these lies which are made up on the first day of April.
·         The Europeans call "April Fool" le poisson d'avril (lit. "April fish"). The reason for this is that the sun moves from the zodiacal house of Pisces to the next house, or because the word poisson, which means fish, is a distortion of the word passion, which means suffering, so it is a symbol of the suffering endured by Jesus (peace be upon him), according to the claims of the Christians, and they claim that this happened in the first week of April.
·          Presently people call this day April Fools' Day, as it is known to the English. That is because of the lies that they tell so that those who hear them might believe them and thus become a victim for those who are making fun of him.

The first mention of April Fool in the English language was in a magazine known as Dreck Magazine. On the second day of April in 1698 CE, this magazine mentioned that a number of people were invited to come and watch the washing of black people in the Tower of London on the morning of the first day of April.

'Aasim ibn 'Abd-Allaah al-Qurawayti wrote that many of us celebrate what is known as April fool or, if it is translated literally, the "trick of April". But how much do we know of the bitter secret behind this day? According to his research Islam was flourishing in Spain and those seeking the downfall of Islam made a careful study and concluded that it was because of the taqwa(piety) of the Muslims that Islam was so successful. So they introduced the younger Muslim generation to wine and other intoxicants and made such evils freely and cheaply available.

This tactic evil tactic produced results and the faith of the Muslims began to weaken, especially among the young generation in Spain. The result of that was that the enemies of Islam subdued the whole of Spain and put an end to the Muslim rule of that land which had lasted for more than eight hundred years. The last stronghold of the Muslims, in Grenada, fell on April 1st, hence they considered this to be the "trick of April."

From that year until the present, they celebrate this day and consider the Muslims to be fools. They do not regard only the army at Granada to be fools who were easily deceived; rather they apply that to the entire Muslim Ummah. It is ignorant of us to join in these celebrations, and when we imitate them blindly in implementing this evil idea, this is a kind of blind imitation which confirms the foolishness of some of us in following them. Once we know the reason for this celebration, how can we celebrate our defeat?

Let us make a promise to ourselves never to celebrate this day. We have to learn from the Spanish experience and adhere to the reality of Islam and never allow our faith to be weakened again.

It does not matter what the origins of April fool are. What matters more is knowing the ruling on lying on this day, which custom we are sure did not exist during the first and best generations of Islam. It did not come from the Muslims, but rather from their enemies.

The evils perpetrated on April Fools' Day are many. Some people have been told that their child or spouse or someone who is dear to them has died and unable to bear this shock, they have suffered great trauma. Some have been told that they are being laid off, or that there has been a fire or an accident in which their family has been killed, so they suffer paralysis or heart attacks, or similar diseases. There are the endless stories and incidents that we hear of, all of which are lies which are forbidden in Islam and unacceptable to common sense or honest chivalry.

Islam forbids lying even in jest and it forbids frightening a Muslim whether in seriousness or in jest, in words or in actions.

Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said, " I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even if its just for the sake of fun'' (Hadith-Abu Dawud).

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah(RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu) that the Messenger of Allah(peace be upon) said:"The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust." (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 33; Muslim, 59)

Hazrat Wasilah reported that the Messenger of Allah(peace be upon) said: "Do not display pleasure at your brothers misfortune."(Hadith-Tirmizi)

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah(Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) said: "They said, 'O Messenger of Allaah, you joke with us.' He said, 'But I only speak the truth. " (Hadith narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1990)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." (Hadith narrated by Ahmad)
It was narrated by Mu'aawiyah ibn Haydah that he heard the Prophet (pbuh) say: 'Woe to the one who talks to make the people laugh and tells lies, woe to him, woe to him." (narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 235. He said: this is a hasan hadeeth. Also narrated by Abu Dawood, 4990).

It was narrated by Asmaa´ bint Yazeed that the Messenger of Allaah (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him) said: "It is not permissible to tell lies except in three (cases): when a man speaks to his wife in a way to please her; lying in war; and lying in order to reconcile between people." (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1939)

When our Muslim Ummah is being disgraced and humiliated by the Kuffaar from East to West, how is it possible for a believer with even a minute degree of Imaan(faith) to engage in this evil

Fadhila Za Elimu - PT 1 (Kiswahili)

Assalaamu alaikum,

Natumai hamjambo. Je mnakumbuka dua inaponyesha mvua??

Mwezi/ Mfungo tulionao ni Jamadi-ul-Awwal au Mfungo 8. Kwa kuwa sikuona historia ya mwezi huo, nimeona ni bora nilete mada nyeti ambayo wengi wetu tuko mbali nayo kwa namna Fulani hivi. Nayo ni kuhusiana na elimu ya dini.

AYA: INNAMA YAKHSHALLAHA MIN IBAADIHIL ULAMAA.

Tafsiri ya aya:

Hakika wamchao au wenye kumuogopa Allah zaidi katika viumbe vyake ni wanazuoni tu.

Kwani mimi na nyinyi hatumuogopi Allah? Sasa imekuaje hapa wakatajwa wanazuoni tu ni wenye kumuogopa Allah?

Ieleweke kuwa mwenye kuwa na elimu zaidi, ndiye mwenye kumuogopa zaidi Allah. Mwenye kuwa na elimu zaidi, atakuwa na maarifa zaidi; mwenye kuwa na maarifa zaidi, atakuwa na hofu au ucha Mungu zaidi na mwenye kuwa na hofu zaidi ya Allah basi atajipatia ukaribu zaidi wa Allah.

HADITHI: Ameeleza Mtume Swallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kuwa katika Ufalme wa Allah, mwenye kuwa na maarifa zaidi kuliko kiumbe chochote ni MIMI, mwenye kuwa na ucha Mungu zaidi ni MIMI na mwenye kujaaliwa zaidi ukaribu wa Allah pia ni MIMI. Kama inavyoelezea aya ya Sura An-Najmi kuhusiana na msafara wa miraji : “FAKANA QAABA QAUSAINI AU ADNAA, FA-AWHAA ILAIHI MAA AWHAA”. Allah na Mtume Swallallahu Alaihi Wasallam walikaribiana sana kama vile upinde na kamba yake, kisha Mola Akamjaalia wahyi ya chochote alichomjaalia.

Ili kuelewa zaidi, tumia mfano huu: sote tunafahamu kuwa nyoka ni mnyama mmoja hatari sana. Ieleweke kuwa mwenye kuwa kwenye hali ya ihram, haruhusiwi kuua mdudu wa aina yoyote ndani ya Msikiti wa Haraam, Makkah; la sivyo atalipa kaffara. Lakini anaruhusiwa kumuua nyoka kama atajitokeza Msikitini hapo na hata kama yumo katika ihram na pia hatalipa kaffara.

Ikiwa kijana mwenye umri wa miaka 20 akiletewa nyoka, bila shaka atakimbia kwani anafahamu ukali wa nyoka na madhara yake. Nyoka huyo huyo akiletwa mbele ya mtoto wa miezi 5, si ajabu mtoto hataogopa, kwani hana maarifa ya nyoka wala madhara yake. Hivyo jinsi maarifa itakuwa zaidi ndivyo hofu itakuwa zaidi.

Incident in Battle of Badr

Sayyeduna Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated about the incident took place in Battle of Badr:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هذا  مصرع  فلان قال ويضع يده علي الارض هاهنا هاهنا قال فما مات احدهم عن موضع  يد  رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم

The Messenger of Allah (may Peace  be upon Him) said: This is the  place  where so and so would be killed. He placed his hand on the earth   (saying) here and here; (and) none of them fell away from the place   which the Messenger of Allah (may Peace be upon Him) had indicated by   placing his hand on the earth.

¤ Hazrat Ataba bin Azwaan (radiallahuanhu) Huzoor Nabi e Kareem صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ se riwayat karte hain ki Aap صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ne farmaya: Jab tum mein se kisi ki koi shay gum hoo jaaye (yaani koi cheez kho jaaye) tum mein se koi MADAD chahe aur woh aisi jagah hoo ki jahan uss ka koi madadgaar bhi na hoo too usse chahiye ki kahe: "AYE ALLAH KE BANDO! MERI MADAD KARO, AYE ALLAH KE BANDO! MERI MADAD KARO, Yakeenan Allah ke aise bhi bande hai jinhe hum dekh too nahi sakte (lekin woh logo ki madad karne par maamoor hai) aur ye Aazmudah baat hai"

[1] Koi Tumhare Dill Ko Dukhaye To Naraz Na Hona kyon Ke Yeh Qudrat Ka Kanoon Hai Ke Jis Darakht Ke Sath Ziyada Meetha Phal Hota Hai Usse Log Zayada Pathar Marte Hain. (Hazrat Ali) (KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[2] Mushkilat Hamesha Behtreen Logo Ke Hisse Me Aate Hain, kyon Ke Wo Us Ko Bhetreen Tariqe Se Anjaam Dene Ki Salahiat Rakhte Hai (Hazrat Ali)( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[3] Jo koi raat ko sone se pehle 3 – baar Sure Ikhlaas (Qulho Wallaho Ahad) padhe__to Allah 50000 farishte bhejega jo us raat uski hifaazat karege. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem )

[5] Her giz ayese shakhs ki dosti Ikhtiyar na karo__Jo tumhari buraiyon ko yaad rakhe aur Tumhari khubiyon ko bhool Jaaye. (Hazrat Ali)( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[6] Momin ka imtehaan takleef aur musibat se hota hai__jayese khalis sonay ki aazmaish aag se hoti hai. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem )

[7] Suraj ki kirnain Zamin Par Parne se Pehle Uth Jaya karo kyon ke Us Waqt Rizq Taqseem kiya Ja Raha Hota Hai. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem )

[8] Nek Aadmi Ki Maut Us Ke Liye Rahat Hai Aur Bure Aadmi Ki Maut Logon Ke Liye Rahat Hai. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem )

[9] Agar tumhe ek dusre ki nekiyon ka ilm hota to tum ek dusre ko DAFAN bhi na karte_hamesha achcha sochho dusre ke baare mai. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[10] Logon ko dua ke liye kahene se behetar hai__Ke ayese amal karo. ke logon ke dil se aap ke liye dua nikle. (Hazrat Ali) (KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[11] Mujhe Jannat Se zyada masjid mein bethna achchha lagta hai kyun ke jannat main mera nafs khush hoga, jab ke masjid main mera rab khush hoga (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

[12] Agar koi tum se bhalayi ki umeed rakhe to usse mayyus mat karo kyon ke logon ki zaruraton ka tum se Wabasta hona tum par ” ALLAH” ka khas Karam hai. (Hazrat Ali) ( KaramAllahu Ta'ala Wajhahul Kareem)

Junaid Baghdadi (Rehmatullahi Ta'ala Alayh)

Junaid Baghdadi earned his livelihood as a professional wrestler. As was the norm, the Leader of Baghdad announced one day, "Today, Junaid Baghdadi will demonstrate his skills as a wrestler, is there anyone to challenge him." An elderly man shakily stood up with his neck quivering and said, "I will enter the contest with him."

Whoever was witness to this scene could not contain themselves, they burst out howling with laughter, clapping their hands. The King was bound by the law. He could not stop someone who of his own free will entered the bout. The elderly man was given the permission to enter the ring. He was about sixty-five years old. When Junaid Baghdadi entered the ring, he was dumbfounded as was the King and all the spectators of the Kingdom who were present. The single thought that occupied their minds was, "How will this old man be able to fight?"

The old man addressed Junaid with these words, "Lend me your ears." He then whispered, "I know it is not possible for me to win this bout against you, but I am a Sayyid, a descendant of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). My children are starving at home. Are you prepared to sacrifice your name, your honour and position for the love of Allah's Prophet and lose this bout to me? If you do this I will be able to collect the prize money and thereby have the means to feed my children and myself for an entire year. I will be able to settle all my debts and above all, the master of both the worlds will be pleased with you. Are you, Oh Junaid, not willing to sacrifice your honour for the sake of the children of Rasulullah (peace be upon him)?"

Junaid Baghdadi thought to himself, "Today, I have an excellent opportunity."

In a display of fervour Junaid Baghdadi executed a couple of maneuvers, demonstrating his finesse so that the King does not suspect any conspiracy. Junaid with a great display of antics did not use his strength and allowed himself to be dropped. The elderly man mounted his chest thus entitling him to the prize.

That night, Junaid Baghdadi had a dream of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said, "Oh Junaid, you have sacrificed your honour, your nationally acclaimed fame, your name and position which was heralded throughout Baghdad in the expression of your love for my children who were starving. As of today, your name is recorded in the register of the Auliya (friends of Allah)."

Thereafter, this great wrestler learnt to defeat his nafs (desires) and became one of the most eminent Auliya of his time!

Hazrat Anas (RadiAllahu Anhu) Se Riwayat Hai:

“Jab NABI KAREEM (SwallAllahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Sallam) fajr ki namaz se farig hote to Madine key log bartano main pani lekr aate or HUZOR (SwallAllahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa Sallam) barkat k liye un main apna haath mubarak dalte”.

Tunaendelea na risala yetu, na labda tu niwakumbushe kuwa tuliishia pale Sheikh alipoletwa mbele ya jambazi kuu kutaka kufahamu kama kweli ana pesa (dinari 40).
 
Jambazi kuu akamuuliza Sheikh kuwa licha ya kufahamu hao ni wanyan’ganyi, hivyo kwa nini aliwaonyesha pesa zote hizo? Sheikh aliwajibu kuwa alimuahidi mama yake kabla ya kuanza safari kuwa daima atasema ukweli tu. Jambazi kuu alianza kulia na kusema kuwa wewe kijana umemuahidi mama yako mara moja tu na unatekeleza ahadi yako, sisi kila siku tunatoa ahadi ya uongo kwa Mola wetu na hatuzitekelezi. Hapo ndipo jambazi kuu alitubu kwa makosa yake na wenzake pia walimfuatiliza na wote wakaacha ujambazi. Historia inasema kuwa wote hao wakawa Walii wa Allah siku za mbele.
Sheikh alikuwa mkarimu sana na hivyo aliwasaidia sana wanafunzi wenzake wenye hali duni. Kwa kuwa umasikini ulienea zama hizo, na baada ya Sheikh kumaliza pesa zake, alikuwa akienda porini kula aidha majani au mizizi ya baadhi ya mimea yenye kutoa maji. Sheikh alikaa siku kadhaa katika ibada ya Allah bila ya kula wala kunywa, kisha husikia sauti (ya Allah) ikimwambia “ewe AbdulQadir kunywa” na “ewe AbdulQadir kula”, ndipo hula na kunywa.
Kuna karama nyingi zilizodhihirika kupitia kwa Sheikh, mmojawapo ikiwa kuhudhuria sehemu 70 za mwaliko kwa wakati mmoja tu!! Vile vile mawaidha yake yalihudhuriwa na watu wapatao 70,000 kwa wakati mmoja. Enzi hizo hapakuwepo na vipaza sauti na hivyo desturi ilikuwa hivi; mmojawapo katika waliohudhuria husimama pale ambapo sauti humfikia na kisha huwasimulia wenzake walio nyuma. Lakini karama nyingine ya Sheikh ni kuwa Yule aliyekaa mwisho husikia kama anavyosikia aliyekaa mbele ya Sheikh! Allah amemuahidi Sheikh kuwa mfuasi wake hatakufa hadi ajaaliwe toba.
Habari za Sheikh ni nyingi mno na kwa nini isiwe hivyo kwani yeye ndiye kiongozi wa Mawalii wote wa Allah. Pia ikumbukwe kuwa karama za Mawalii (hata za umma zilizopita) zimo ndani ya Quran Tukufu. Pia ieleweke kuwa jambo lolote ambalo akili haikubaliani nalo, linapotendwa na Mitume basi huitwa MUUJIZA, na jambo la namna hiyo inapotendwa na Masahaba au Mawalii basi huitwa KARAMA.
