The Benefits of Meelaad Shareef Gathering

It is mentioned in Mawaahibul-Ladunniyyah regarding the blessed gathering of Meelaadun-Nabi ﷺ:

"Muslims have always held gatherings of Meelaad Shareef in the month of Rabi'ul-Awwal, because it is the month of the Prophet's blessed birth. In its nights, they give charity, do many good deeds, and express their happiness. By remembering the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet, they seek the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty. One of the well-known benefits of Meelaad Shareef gatherings is that the year passes with peace, and it is a sign of quickly achieving one's aims and needs. So, Allah's mercy be upon the person who made the nights of the Prophet's birth month like a Eid, and may hardship fall on the one whose heart is filled with hatred and malice."
