The Ahl-e-Sunnat celebrate the blessed Meelaadun-Nabi with great devotion and abundance. This is because we firmly believe that the foundation of faith and Imaan lies in the remembrance of the Beloved Prophet. Remembrance cultivates love, and it is through love that faith and Imaan reaches its perfection. As it is said:
"Whoever loves something, remembers it frequently."
Thus, the frequent and heartfelt remembrance of the Messenger of Allah during the Meelaad Shareef is a clear testament to the faith and devotion of the Ahl-e-Sunnat. Indeed, the very act of remembering the Holy Prophet is in itself a profound act of worship.
This truth is beautifully affirmed in a Hadith Shareef narrated by Sayyiduna Mu'aadh RadiAllahu Anhu, in which the Messenger of Allah said:
"The remembrance of the Prophets is an act of worship; the remembrance of the righteous expiates sins; the remembrance of death is Sadaqah; and the remembrance of the grave brings one closer to Paradise." (Al-Jaami'us-Sagheer wa Sharhuhus-Siraajul-Muneer)
