The Greatest In Rank

Imam Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Idris as-Shafi'i {May Allah have Mercy upon him} said:

"The greatest in rank are those who do not know their own status, and the most righteous/beneficial/virtuous of them are those who do not know their own virtue."
