Sayyida ki
‘Shaan’ – Siddiqa ki ‘Zubaan’
The
Lofty Status of Sayyidah Fatima (radi Allahu anha) in the words
of Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha)
Ashrafiya
Islamic Foundation,Hyderabad, India have compiled some
Hadiths and statements narrated by Umm al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa
Habiba (radi Allahu anha)on the Merits of Sayyidah Zahidah Tahirah
Fatima (radi Allahu anha)primarily due to the following reasons:
i.
To Prove the Extreme Love and Respect between the
Two Great Women of Islam.
ii.
To Fortify a Link between the Noble ‘Ahl al Bayt’
and the Great Sahaba (for those blinded by the Rawafiz (Shia) and
Tafziliya).
iii.
To Demolish the House of Cards of ‘Rawafiz’ (Shia)
and ‘Khawarij’ (Salafis/Wahhabis/Jamat e Islami).
Sayyidah
Fatima (radi Allahu anha) is the Leader of all Muslim Women
Hadith 1: Sayyidah
Aisha Siddiqa (radi
Allahu anha) narrates that the Beloved RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said
during the illness in which he passed away: “O Fatima! Are you not pleased with
the fact that you are the Leader of the Women of all the Worlds, the Leader of
the Women of this ‘Ummah’ (Nation) and the Leader of the Women of
all the Believers?” {Mustadrak
al Hakim; H # 4740}
Hadith 2: Sayyiduna
Masruq (a Tabai’
and one of the foremost students of Sayyidah Aisha ( radi
Allahu anha) narrates from Umm al
Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha (radi
Allahu anha)that the Beloved
Prophet (sallallahu
alaihi wasallam) said: “Fatima, are you not happy that you are the Leader
of the Women of all the Believers or the Leader of the Women of this ‘Ummah’.” {Sahih al Bukhari; H # 2317, 5928 &
Sahih al Muslim; H # 1905, 2450}
We Conclude:
i.
The Term ‘Sayyid’ or
‘Sayyidah’ is not an Innovation {‘Biddah’}! And to use it is a ‘Sunnah’ of the
Prophet! The extreme Salafiya (Ahle Hadith/ Jamat e Islami) do not use these
blessed terms for the ‘Ahl al Bayt’, and try to mislead the general public by
saying that it a ‘Biddah’ of ‘Rawafiz’ and adopted by the Muslims in general!
ii.
There are many
astray and modernist groups and people who say: “Sayyid Wayyid’ sab
banaliye so hai, aisa kuch nahi hai Islam mein.” This Hadith
is a Warning for such Arrogant and Ignorant people.
iii.
The Term ‘Sayyid’
was bestowed by the Prophet to the ‘Ahl al Bayt’. And the Ahl al Sunnah shall
keep on using it.
The
Secret of Al Mustafa (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) lies with
Sayyidah Fatima (radi Allahu anha)
Hadith 3: Sayyidah
Aisha Siddiqa (radi
Allahu anha) narrates: “Fatima came and her way of walking was just
like that of RasulAllah ~sallallahu alaihi wasallam.. The Prophet welcomed his Beloved Daughter and seated her
on his right hand side or on the left hand side (the narrator has doubt on the actual
side). Then he whispered something to
her which made her cry. So I asked her why she was cried. Then the Prophet
whispered something to her and she laughed. So I said: “I have never seen
happiness so close to sadness as I have seen today.” I asked Sayyidah Fatima:
“What did the Prophet say?” She replied: “I cannot disclose the secret of the
RasulAllah!” When the Prophet passed away I asked her again (about that
incident) and she replied: “The Prophet whispered to me: “Every year Sayyiduna
Jibrail recites the whole of the Quran with me once but this year he has
recited it twice. I am sure that the end of my time in this world has
neared and indeed you are the first from my family who will come to me!”
This made me cry. Then the Prophet whispered: “Are you not happy with the fact
that you are the Leader of the Women of Paradise or the Leader of all Muslim
Women.” Upon this I laughed.” {Sahih al Bukhari; H # 1326, 1327, 3426, 3427 & Sahih al
Muslim, H # 1904 & 2450}
We conclude:
i.
The Prophets and particularly the Beloved
RasulAllah (sallallahu
alaihi wasallam) knew about
the time of his Demise.
ii.
The Prophet also
Knew the Demise of Others, and in this case – Sayyidah Fatimah (radi Allahu anha).
iii.
The ‘AwliyaAllah’
are informed about their Demise by the Allah Almighty, either through the
Beloved Prophet or through the ‘Ilham’ (Pure Inspirations) to their Hearts
through the Angel - ‘Ulhim’. Sayyidah Fatima (radi Allahu anha) was a
‘WaliAllah’ and she was informed by the Prophet himself!
iv.
The ‘Ahl al Bayt’,
‘AwliyaAllah’ and those of noble Disposition Meet the Holy Prophet. This proves
their Lofty states in ‘Barzakh’ (afterlife).
v.
The above Hadith
also Proves the ‘Ilm al Ghayb’ (Knowledge of Unseen) of the Prophet, and his
Authority to disclose it to whomever he pleases from the AwliyaAllah.
vi.
The ‘AwliyaAllah’ do
not disclose the ‘Ilm al Ghayb’ and the secrets bestowed upon them by Allah
Almighty and RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) unless
and until it is necessary for the ‘Ummah’ to know.
The
Beloved RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) used to Standup to Greet and
Welcome Sayyidah Fatima (radi Allahu anha) then Kiss her and make sit
her sit in his Place
Hadith 4: Umm
al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) narrates that when the Beloved RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) used
to see Sayyidah Fatima coming, he would welcome her, then he would stand up for
her, kiss her, bring her inside by holding her hand and seat her in his own
place! Whenever Sayyidah Fatima saw the Prophet arrive, she used to welcome
him, stand up for him and kiss the Prophet.” {Sahih Ibn Hibban; H # 6953 * Mustadrak
al Hakim; H #7715 * Al Adab al Mufrad of Imam Bukhari; H # 947}
Hadith 5: Umm
al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) narrates that when Sayyidah Fatima used to arrive in the
presence of the Prophet, he used to welcome her by standing up and used to hold
her hand and kiss it then seat her where he was sitting.” {Mustadrak al Hakim; H #4732 * Fazail al
Sahabah of Imam Nisai; H # 264 * Shu’b al Iman of Imam Bayhaqi; H #8927)
Hadith 6: Umm
al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) narrates
that when Sayyidah Fatima used to visit the Prophet, he used to stand up to
welcome her, kiss her and by holding her hand used to seat her where he was
sitting. When the Prophet visited Fatima’s house, she in welcoming the Prophet,
used to stand up and kiss the blessed hand of the Prophet.” {Mustadrak al Hakim; H # 4753 * Zakhair
al Uqba fi Manaqib Dhaw al Qurba (p.85) of Imam Muhibb al Tibri * Durr al
Sahabah fi Manaqib al Qarabah wal Sahabah (p.279) by the Salafi Ideologue –
Qazi Shawkani}
We conclude:
i.
Standing out of Respect
(Qiyam e T’azimi’) and Kissing someone out of Respect and Admiration is not
‘Shirk’ (Polytheism) and ‘Biddah’ (Innovation) as understood by the
Wahhabiya/Salafiya/Ahle Hadith/Jamat e Islami/ Deobandiya. They try to mislead
the general Muslims by this strange Fatwa of theirs. On the contrary, they
stand out of respect and kiss their Scholars and ‘Amirs’ but dislike and charge
the Ahl al Sunnah with their ‘Fatawa’ when they do it for ‘Sayyids’ and
‘Ulama’.
ii.
Standing out of
Respect and Kissing out of Affection 'Sa'adat' (Sayyids) is a Sunnah of Sayyid
al Mursalin ~sallallahu
alaihi wasallam
iii.
Standing out of Respect and Love, and Kissing out of
Affection, Admiration and Respect’ is ‘Sunnah’ of the Prophet and Sahaba.
The
Most Beloved to RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is Sayyidah Fatima (radi
Allahu anha)
Hadith 7: Jumai
bin Umayr Taymi narrates that he visited Sayyidah Aisha (radi Allahu anha) in
the company of his paternal aunt and asked her: “Who was the most Beloved to
the Prophet?” Umm al Mu’minin (radi Allahu anha) replied: “Fatima!” She was then asked: “And who from
among the men?” She replied: “Her husband Sayyiduna Ali. As far as I know he
fasts a great deal and he often stays awake at length during nights in order to
(p.273) by the Salafi Ideologue – Qazi Shawkani}
Sayyidah
Resembled the Prophet most in her Traits & Mannerisms
Hadith 8: Umm
al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) narrates: “I have not seen anyone who resembled the
Prophet more in manners, habits, character and in the method of sitting and
standing than Sayyidah Fatima bint RasulAllah.” {Jami al Tirmizi; H # 3872 * Sunan Abu
Dawud; H #5217 * Mustadrak al Hakim; H #7715}
Hadith 9: Umm
al Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) narrates: “I have not seen anyone from the people who
bear closer Resemblance to the Prophet in talking and sitting than
Fatima.” {Al Adab
al Mufrad; H # 947, 971 * Sahih Ibn Hibban; H # 6953}
Sayyidah
Fatima (radi Allahu anha) is
the Most Superior Personality after the Beloved RasulAllah ~sal Allahu
alayhi wa sallam~
Hadith 10: Sayyidah
Aisha Siddiqa (radi
Allahu anha) states: “I have not seen anyone Superior to Fatima other
than her father.” {Al
Mu’jam al Awsat of Imam Tibrani; H # 2721 * Imam Haythami stated in Majma al
Zawaid (19:201) that it is narrated through ‘Sahih al Isnad’ (Authentic Chain
of Narrators)}
