HAZRAT MUSLIM IN KUFA:

Hazrat Imam Muslim bin Aqeel Radi Allahu Anhu thus went to Kufa as the representative of Imam Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu. He was accompanied by his two young sons on this journey. When he arrived in kufa, he stayed at the home of Mukhtar bin Ubaid.

When the people of kufa heard of his arrival, they came in huge groups and took Bai'at on his hands as the representative of Imam Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu. Some narrations have said that approximately 12000 people took the oath of allegiance. When Imam Muslim bin Aqeel Radi Allahu Anhu saw the sincerity of the people, he immediately wrote to Imam Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu informing him of this, and requested him to come to Kufa.
