Someone asked Hazrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ud Radi Allahu Anhu, 'What is your view on treading over graves?' He replied, 'Just as I consider it wrong to cause harm or distress to a living person, I likewise consider it wrong to cause harm or distress to one who has passed away.'
