Mfungo 3 - Kwa Wenye Kudhamira Kuchinja

Assalaamu alaikum,

Natumai hamjambo.

[Swali] Kutokunyoa Na Kukata Kucha Mpaka Uchinje

Assalaamu alaikum,

Protection from the Calamities

Earthquakes are one of the major calamities from which the beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) guided us to seek refuge with Allah and He (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) taught us the following Dua to remain protected from the calamities.
12182462_10153127253905334_2273380425680750475_o.jpg (1128×428)

Recite this Dua yourselves and let your families recite it as well. Moreover, write Ya Zaahiru (ياظاھر) on the walls and main gates and entrances of your houses. This will keep you and your families and properties safe from the earthquakes and other calamities in sha Allah.

Excellence of the Fast of Aashura

» It is narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) that when Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the Jews were fasting on the day of Aashura, so he (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) asked, ‘Why have you fasted on this day?’ They replied, ‘This is a great day in which Allah saved Musa (Alayhis Salam) and his nation, and drowned Pharaoh and his people. Therefore, Musa (Alayhis Salam) fasted on this day as an expression of gratitude to Allah and so we too observe fast on this day.’ He (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, ‘We deserve more than you to follow Musa (Alayhis Salam).’ So the Beloved and Blessed Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) himself fasted and he ordered his Companions to do so as well. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 656, Hadith 2004]

» The Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has stated, "Observe Fast on the day of Aashura, and oppose the Jews in this by observing an additional Fast one day before or one day after it." [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol. 1, Page 518, Hadith 2154]

» It has been reported by Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (Radi Allahu Anhu) that the Most Exalted Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: "I expect from Allah that Fast on Aashura removes the sins of the previous year. [Sahih Muslim, Page 590, Hadith 1162]

» Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) has stated, "I never saw the Noble Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) so enthusiastic to observe Fast highlighting excellence to any day as much as he would for the day of Aashura and the month of Ramadan." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 657, Hadith 2006]

Note: Whenever one is to observe the Fast of Aashura, it is better for him to fasts on either the 9th or 11th of Muharram in addition.

Virtues of the fasts of Muharram

The most beloved and blessed Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) is reported to have said:

» The Fast of every day of Muharram is equivalent to the Fasts of one month. [Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Saghir, Vol. 2, Page 87,  Hadith 1580]

» After Ramadan, the Fast of Muharram is the most superior, and the most superior Salah after the Fard Salah is Salat al-Layl (i.e. Nawafil offered during the night). [Sahih Muslim, Page 591, Hadith 1163]

» Whoever fasted for three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, during the month of Muharram, the reward of two years’ worship will be recorded for him. [Tabarani, Mu'jam al-Awsat, Vol. 2, Page 219, Hadith 1789]

» Whoever fasts three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, during the holy months (i.e. Dhul-Qa'dah, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram), the reward of 900 years’ worship will be recorded for him. [Ghazali, Ihya Uloom al-Deen, Vol. 1, Page 237]

» Whoever fasts three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, during the holy months (i.e. Dhul-Qa'dah, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram), Allah will bless him with the reward of 700 years’ worship. [Bayhaqi, Fada'il al-Awqat, Vol. 1, Page 538, Hadith 289]

Amal for New Islamic Year (1st Muharram)

Shaykh Abul Abbas Ahmad bin Ali Buni (Alayhir Rahmah) writes in his book, Shams al-Ma'arif wa Lata'if al-'Awarif: "Whoever writes

130 times (or gets it written from someone) on 1st Muharram al-Haraam and keeps this with him (or put on it after plastic coating or sewing in some cloth, or leather), he and all of his family members will remain safe from every type of evil throughout their life." [Shams al-Ma'arif, Page 74]

Note: Write using permanent ink and it is not necessary to put diacritical marks. Furthermore, it is a principle of writing a Ta’weez that when writing a certain Ayah or a certain text, the circle of every circle-containing letters should remain open. Therefore, leave the circles of Haa (ه) and all the three Meem (م) open.

Virtues of Sayyiduna Umar ibn Al-Khattab (Radi Allahu Anhu) in the Heavens

Sayyiduna Ammar ibn Yasir (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said,

“O Ammar, Jibril came to me and I asked, “O Jibril narrate to me the virtues of Umar ibn Al-Khattab in the heavens.” He said, “O Muhammad, if I was to narrate the virtues of Umar from the time that Nuh remained with his people, nine hundred and fifty years, I would not exhaust the virtues of Umar.”

[Musnad Abi Ya'la, Vol. 4, Page 173, Hadith 1568]

Stop Shaving The Beard (English Translation)

..:: STOP SHAVING THE BEARD ::..

My brother, Stop shaving the beard
Have some shame of Allah Almighty, Stop shaving the beard

It’s seemingly just hair but it’s the light of Islam
Enlighten your face, Stop shaving the beard

This appearance displeases Allah Almighty and The most Beloved ﷺ
Seek their pleasure, Stop shaving the beard

The shaytaan is pleased after seeing this appearance
Enemy of yours is he, Stop shaving the beard

Has any Hindu ever cut off his ponytail, Tell me?
So why have you done this? Stop shaving the beard

Has anyone from the blessed family, The Blessed Companions or The Blessed Prophets done this?
So why are you distinct from them? Stop shaving the beard

It’s weird that women are also influenced by this
Also shaving their heads, Stop shaving the beard

You were born a man but now have become emasculate
Oh what a huge error you have made, Stop shaving the beard

The trimming or shaving of the beard is Haraam
Obey the order of The Most Beloved , Stop shaving the beard

Its compulsory for a brother to guide his brother
Therefore I say to you, Stop shaving the beard

May the plea of Jameel Qadiri be accepted O Allah!
May the Ummah of The Most Beloved , stop shaving the beard

Conveyance on Bridge of Siraat

The beloved and blessed Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said,

"On the day of Eid al-Adha, no other good deed of man is dearer to Allah than shedding blood (of sacrificial animal). On the Day of Judgement, the sacrificed animal will come with its horns, hair and hooves. Allah accepts the sacrifice before the blood of the sacrificed animal reaches the ground. Therefore, perform sacrifice whole-heartedly." [Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Page 162, Hadith 1498]
Hadrat Sayyiduna Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi (Alayhir Rahmah) says,

"Qurbani (sacrifice) will be placed onto the pan of the good deeds of its performer, increasing the weight of his good deeds." [Ash'at al-Lam'aat, Vol. 1, Page 654]
Hadrat Mulla Ali Qari (Alayhir Rahmah) says,

"Then, for its performer, the sacrifice will serve as a conveyance whereby he would pass the bridge of  Siraat easily. Further, every organ of the sacrificed animal will be Fidyah (expiation) for every organ of its owner." [Mirqat al-Mafatih, Vol. 3, Page 574, Hadith 1470]

Fasting on the Day of Arafah

Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrates the following statement of the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam), "I have presumption from Allah that the fast of Arafah (9th Zul-Hijjah) removes the sins of the previous year and the next year." [Sahih Muslim, Page 590, Hadith 196]

Sayyidatuna Ayeshah Siddiqah (Radi Allahu Anha) narrated that Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, "The fast on the day of Arafah (9th Zul-Hijjah) is equivalent to one thousand fasts." [Shu’ab al-Iman, Vol. 3, Page 357, Hadith 3764]

However, this fast is Makruh for the one who is in the plains of Arafat to perform Hajj as Sayyiduna Ibn Khuzaymah (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrates with reference to Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radi Allahu Anhu) that the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) prohibited (Hajj Pilgrims) to fast on the day of Arafah (9th Zul-Hijjah) in the plains of Arafat. [Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Vol. 3, Page 292, Hadith 2101]

» Pilgrims on Hajj and Umrah are the guests of Allah. If they supplicate Him, He answers their prayers and if they ask Him for forgiveness, He forgives them. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 2, Page 966, Hadith 2892]

Gems of Wisdom by Qutb-e-Madinah Shaykh Ziauddin Madani (Alayhir Rahmah)

..:: Golden Words of Wisdom ::..
by Qutb-e-Madinah Shaykh Diya al-Deen Ahmad
Siddiqui al-Qadiri Ridawi al-Madani (Alayhir Rahmah)
  • Always be steadfast on the sacred Shari’ah. The greater one is obedient to the Shari'ah the higher one attains status in Tariqah.
  • Do work for the Religion for the sake of the Religion and do not do it for name and fame.
  • Engage in feeding food even though it is basic Dhaal and rice. There is great virtues and Barakaat in feeding.
  • Become a Veiler [Sat’taar – one who hides the faults of others]. Hide the faults of the Muslim, may they be religious or worldly.
  • Duniya is an evil thing. He who is tangled with it keeps on sinking into it. He who runs away from it , it remains at ones feet.
  • Salah and Fasts are from the essentials, but real religion is rectifying ones transactions.
  • Here [in Madina al-Munawwarah] the wise and elders say; ‘Constant performance of Salaah becomes a habit, by keeping Fasts, the cost of one meal is saved and religion is the name of rectification of dealings.
  • First Salaam , second feed food and third talk. When someone visits you, first greet him then feed him and lastly ask him the reason of his visit.
  • The Murshid who is dependent on the Murid, in my view, is not a Murshid.
  • To become a Murshid is very difficult and to be a son of a Murshid is very simple. Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala save us from becoming Sahibzadahs.
  • In obedience there is virtue and in innovation [Bid’ah] there is destruction. Be a follower and you will attain salvation.
  • In secrecy is salvation and fame breeds discord.
  • Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala has given the cursed devil great powers. It is only Allah’s (SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala) Mercy that can protect one from the evil of the devil.
  • The Spiritual Silsilah is only one that is the Qadiriyyah. The rest are its tributaries.
  • There is no harm in eating the bread of a miser. But one must abstain from eating anything from a Man’nan . May Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala protect us from the favours of a Man’nan.
  • There is no goodness in the sand of Najd, it has nothing but pure evil.
  • Do not give anyone a loan more than your financial capacity and don’t reveal the loan to anyone nor demand its repayment. If the creditor returns the loan regard it as a fresh sustenance from Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala.
  • Doing good deeds is a Toufeeq from Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala and a sign of acceptance. Guidance is certainly from Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala but a servant has to make efforts in doing good deeds.
  • A fortunate person is he whose letter is read in the sacred city of Madina al-Munawwarah or he is discussed with goodness there or his name is mentioned there.
  • Continue extolling the sacred name of ‘Ya Ghawth Ya Ghawth’. There are blessings of this sacred name in both the worlds.
  • Never recite the Darud Sharif with the intention of Ziyaarah. The beloved Habib SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam is not restricted to any human. If He (SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam) blesses anyone then it is His favour.
  • No greed, no rejection and no hoarding are virtue.
  • Wafa is either you bury your companion or he buries you in the ground.
  • Safeguard yourself from severe cold as it takes its grudge in old age.
  • Wealth is madness and seek Allah’s (SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala) protection from it as it take a long time to regain consciousness from it.
  • Fulfilling lust is a deadly companion and an evil habit. It is a lethal enemy.
  • Pride and boastfulness destroys the intellect.
  • Avoid relationship with your opposite specie.
  • Don’t ask Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala for abundance, If you have reliance then there is great abundance of Barkat in little sustenance.
  • Knowledge is achieved by seeking it; sitting in the company of the knowledgeable and also by Divine Inspiration.
  • Your Murshid is he on whose hands you have initially taken Bay’ah. Regarding Faydh , take it wherever you find it.
  • Always keep far from dissention and disunity.
  • Goodness is in being kind to the creation of Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala.
  • One must give charity according to the ones means and ability.
  • Never behave with severity and harshness as there is no goodness in it.
  • If anyone sits in Madina al-Munawwarah with justice and patience, then sustenance comes to him from all directions.
  • If anyone is caught in the net of a Najdi , he sinks to the depths of the ocean . If he is saved from this then regard it as a gift of a new life.
  • A poor man is a blessing and not a burden.
  • To educate an evil and incompetent person is to put the Ummah in discord.
  • Exercising patience in hardship and misfortune is the key to success.
  • Accept the excuse or apology of your enemy.
  • Do not regard your enemy weak and sickness as insignificant.
  • Spiritual culture is not to hurt the feelings of anyone.
  • Four things are disastrous to a human;
    1) To eat food when not hungry.
    2) To habitually take medication
    3) To have excessive sex
    4) To dig for the faults of others.
  • Write letters as paper horses are good.
  • He who is kind to creation is in reality engaged in the Love of the Creator (SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala).
  • People have attained everlasting wealth in Adab and enthusiasm.
  • Do not behave like a mad man in search of sustenance because whatever is destined for you, you will certainly receive.
  • Secret charity stops the wrath of Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala.
  • He who desires the goodwill of creation with good conduct has brightened his face.
  • He who has good supposition lives a peaceful life.
  • An intelligent person never leaves four things; patience, thankfulness, peace and solitude.

Virtues of Sayyiduna Usman-e-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) in Ahadith

As it is normally observed that a disciple remains occupied in praising and glorifying his master but how great and marvellous it is when the master also expresses praises the qualities and virtues of his disciple and shows his deep appreciation for him. Ameer al-Mumineen, Sayyiduna Usman-e-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) is also regarded amongst those fortunate people, who had been conveyed with glad tidings by the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) and sometimes the Greatest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) called him to be his heavenly companion, sometimes the Holiest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) conferred upon him the title of a perfect modest person and sometimes the Noblest Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) announced that his intercession will bless people with Jannah. We present here few of the blessed sayings of the Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam):

عثمان في الجنة
Usman is in Paradise. [Mu'jam al-Awsat, Vol. 8, Page 127, Hadith 3635]

Usman is from me and I am from Usman. [Tarikh Damishq, Vol. 39, Page 102, Hadith 7877]

Usman's shyness causes the angels to be shy. [Mu'jam al-Awsat, Vol. 8, Page 268, Hadith 8601]

O Allah, be pleased with Uthman as I am pleased with him. [Sirah Ibn Hisham, Vol. 2, Page 518]

Usman, amongst my companions, resembles my character the most. [Tarikh Damishq, Vol. 39, Page 97, Hadith 7868]

Every Prophet has a companion and my companion in Jannah is Usman bin Affaan. [Jaami' Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 624, Hadith 3698]

Modesty is from Iman and the most genuinely modest one from my Ummah is Usman. [Tarikh Damishq, Vol. 39, Page 92, Hadith 7853]

(O Usman) If I had forty daughters I would marry them to you, one after the other until there was none left. [Tarikh Damishq, Vol. 39, Page 42, Hadith 7769]

By the intercession of Usman, 70000 people will enter Jannah without accountability, upon whom Hell would have been binding. [Tarikh Damishq, Vol. 39, Page 122, Hadith 7915]

Specialty of Sayyiduna Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu)

On the authority of Sahih Bukhari, Tirmidhi and Musnad Ahmad that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) has stated that Hadrat Uthman bin Affan’s (Radi Allahu Anhu) absence from the battle of Badr was because the daughter of the Prophet of Allah (Sayyidah Ruqaiyyah - Radi Allahu Anha), who was his wife, fell ill. Allah’s Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to him,

“You will receive the same reward and share (of Maal-e-Ganeemat) as anyone of those who participated in the battle of Badr (if you stay with her).” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 523, Hadith 3698]

It is has been reported by Abu Da’ud that Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) has said,

“The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) allocated for him his share and did not do so for anyone else who was absent.” [Sunan Abi Da’ud, Vol. 2, Page 18, Hadith 2726]

This was the specialty of Sayyiduna Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) as whosoever does not attend the battle does not get his share of the Maal-e-Ganeemat.

Sayyidina Uthman bin Affaan (Kiswahili)

Assalaamu alaikum,

Natumai hamjambo.

Maswali / maoni yanakaribishwa.

JazakAllah,

Signs Of An Accepted Hajj

Hujjat al-Islam, Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad Ghazali (Alayhir Rahmah) has stated:

"It is reported, One of the signs of an accepted Hajj is that a Haji gives up all those acts of disobedience that he was indulged in the past, he quits the company of bad friends and keeps the company of pious people, he abandons the gatherings of sports and entertainments, and attends the gatherings of Zikr and Fikr (contemplation) and the gatherings in which the Zikr of Allah and His Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) is done abundantly."
[Ihya al-‘Uloom, Vol. 1, Page 803]

AlaHadrat, Imam Imam Ahmad Rida Khan (Alayhir Rahmah) has said:

"The sign of a Hajj-e-Mabroor (an accepted Hajj) is that the Haji becomes better than before when he returns."
[Fatawa Radawiyyah, Vol. 24, Page 467]

May Allah bless all of us with the privilege of an accepted Hajj and the journey to Madinah Munawwarah for the sake of His Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam)... Aameen!

Conditions For Forgiveness of Allah

In this Quranic verse three conditions have been put for seeking forgiveness of Allah:

1) To come to the Most Beloved Holy Prophet ﷺ
2) To ask Allah Almighty’s forgiveness there.
3) The Holy Prophet ﷺ intercedes.

When all these three conditions are met, the sinner will be granted forgiveness.

The first of these three conditions is ‘to go to the most Beloved Prophet ﷺ ’.

Scholars of Islam say that if someone intends to seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty, he should visit the Holy Court of the Prophet ﷺ .

If he cannot visit the court, he should, from his abode, devotedly invoke peace and blessings of Allah Almighty upon the most beloved Prophet ﷺ and then ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness by mediating through The Holy Prophet ﷺ. This will be considered his spiritual visit to the court of The Most Beloved Prophet ﷺ.

The Offspring Of Shaitaan

Sayyiduna Umar Radi Allahu Anhu said,
" The offspring of Shaitaan are nine.

1- zaltun works the marketplaces

2- waathin commands catastrophes

3- Awaan works on the rulers

4- haffaaf commands intoxicants

5- murraa commands music

6- laqoos commands the majoosis ( magians )

7- Al musawwit commands false news, which he makes the people spread.

8- Dasim works the houses, when a man enters his home without greeting his wife and family with salaam and mentioning the name of Allah Almighty, he causes disputes between husband and wife which leads to divorce, seperation and violence.

9- walhan whispers in the hearts and ears during ablution, salah and other acts of worship .

May Allah Almighty keep us safe from the Shaitaan and his offspring , we seek refuge in Allah Almighty from the shaitan the rejected one and his offspring.

The Cure For Cleansing Away Sins & The Spiritual Diseases Of The Heart

Sayyiduna Hassan Basri Radi Allahu Anhu said
" I was walking with a young pious man through the narrow streets of Basrah, when we met a physician sat upon a chair. Around him were many men, women and children all holding bottles of water. Each of them were seeking a cure for their illnesses.
The young pious man moved forward and asked the physician,
" O physician, do you have a cure that cleanses the sins and cures the spiritual diseases of the heart?"
The physician replied " why yes, of course"
The pious man asked him to give it to him.

The physician said " take ten things from me ;

Take the roots from the tree of poverty,

Add them to the roots from the tree of humility,

Pour in some milk of repentance,

Place this in the mortar of acceptance,

Crush it with the pestle of contentment,

Place it in the pot of piety,

Fill the pot with the water of shame,

Boil this with the fire of love,

Place it in the cup of gratitude,

Let it cool under the fan of hope,

Then drink it with the spoon of praise.

If you do this then it will cure you of every illness and tribulation in this world and the hereafter.

The State Of Our Hearts

Sayyiduna Ibrahim ibn Adham Alayhirrahmah on the state of our hearts

Someone once asked him :
“We supplicate but our prayers are not answered!” He said, “Your hearts have become dead due to ten things –

1– you have known Allah Almighty but have not fulfilled His rights;

2– you have read the Book of Allah but do not abide by it;

3– you proclaimed enmity of Shaitaan but made him your guardian and protector;

4– you claimed love of the Most Beloved Messenger Sall Allahu Alaihi Wasallam but you left his path and his sunnah

5– you claimed love of Paradise but you did not work for it;

6– you claimed fear of Hellfire but did not stop committing sins;

7– you claimed that you believed that death was a reality but you did not prepare yourselves for it;

8- you busied yourselves with the faults of others and neglected your own faults;

9– you eat from the sustenance that Allah Almighty provides for you but do not show gratitude;

10– you bury your dead ones but do not take heed from it.”

Kaam Woh lay lijiye, Tum ko Jo Raazi karray
Theek ho naame Raza tum pe karoron Durood.

The Salahs & Nights of the Buzurgaane Deen

Hadrat Sayyiduna Mughira Alayhirrahmah says :

I once saw Sayyiduna Malik Bin Dinaar Alaihirrahmah at night in his house.

He did not see me watching him.
Sayyiduna Malik Bin Dinar Alayhirrahmah performed wudu after the Isha Salah and Stood on The prayer mat with the intention of praying nawaafil.
I saw him standing holding his beard in his fist crying, he wept all night until Fajr.

It is said Sayyiduna Oveis Al Qarani Alayhirrahmah would stay in sajdah all night and every night.
He would only lift his head when he thought his bones would give way which would cause him to fall, due to his constant crying ..
