» Mend relations with those who try to break ties with you and forgive those who are unjust towards you. [Mu'jam Awsat, V4, P18, Hadith 5064]

» Whoever prefers that a palace be built for him in Paradise, should forgive the person who is unjust with him. [Mustadrak, Hadith 3215]

» If a person forgives someone’s mistake, than Allah increases his (i.e. the forgiver’s) honour & respect. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2588]

» Whoever forgives despite having the ability to take revenge is the most dignified person before Allah. [Shu'ab al-Iman, Hadith 8327]
