The Confirmed Ruling

Pearls Of The Pious

It Is My Firm Principle That The Very Moment Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan Saaheb (Aala Hazrat) Confirms A Ruling, My Heart Immediately Attains Contentment. Numerous Incidents Bear Witness To The Depth of His Research And The Precision of His Observations, To Such A Degree That Once His Verdict Has Been Penned In Response To A Query, I Find No Need For Any Further Evidence.

1500 Years of Moulood

#QuoteOfTheDay

The Beloved Rasool ﷺ Is The Soul of Our Imaan. How Could We Possibly Withhold Our Joy At The Blessed Birth of That Noble Personality Upon Whom Almighty Revealed The Glorious Qur'an!

Comfort The Hearts Of The People

Shaykh Muhaq'qiq Says:

On the day of Hunain, the Beloved Rasool ﷺ Blessed every Arab Muslim Soldier with one hundred camels and one thousand goats each. Most of what He ﷺ distributed on that day was distributed in order to attract and comfort the hearts of the people (towards the path of righteousness). In other words, it was done so that those with weak faith and those who were not as steadfast may become steadfast and firm due to the wealth.

Treading Over Graves

It Is Time To Reflect

Someone asked Hazrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ud Radi Allahu Anhu, 'What is your view on treading over graves?' He replied, 'Just as I consider it wrong to cause harm or distress to a living person, I likewise consider it wrong to cause harm or distress to one who has passed away.'

Peerless Personalities Aala Hazrat Blessed Us With

#QuoteOfTheDay

Sayyidi Aala Hazrat, Imam e Ahle Sunnat Radi Allahu Anhu blessed us with many great personalities. Peerless among them are Ghaus ul Waqt, Huzoor Mufti e Azam e Hind and Huzoor Sadrush Shari'ah, Badr-ut Tariqah Radi Allahu Anhuma. Likewise, these two personalities blessed us with numerous luminaries; peerless among them are Huzoor Sayyidi Taajush Shariah Radi Allahu Anhu and Huzoor Sayyidi Muhad'dith e Kabeer Qibla.

Repeated Intercession

My Aala Hazrat says

After Opening The Doors of Intercession (On The Day of Resurrection), Our Master, Shafi' ul Muznibeen Will Repeatedly Intercede For The Forgiveness of Sinners. Almighty Allah Will Accept Each Intercession, And Through Them Countless Servants Will Receive The Immense Blessing of Salvation.

Trampling On A Grave

It Is Time To Reflect

Ibn Mandah reported from Qasim ibn Al Mukhaimirah who said, 'For me it is better that I should keep my foot on the tip of a spear and it should exit through my foot. However, I do not like that I should trample on a grave under any circumstance.' He then said, 'Once a person tramped on a grave in a state of awareness, so a voice was heard from the grave saying, 'O Man! Do not cause me pain, Leave me be!'

The Desire To Embrace Islam

#PearlsOfThePious

The Moment A Person Expresses The Desire To Embrace Islam, He Should Be Immediately Made To Recite The Kalimah. Any Unnecessary Delay In This (Allah Forbid) Would Imply Contentment With His Remaining, Even Briefly, In A State of Kufr

The Clearest Tone of Voice

Shaykh Muhaq'qiq Says:

Among all people, the Beloved Rasool ﷺ was unsurpassed in the accuracy of His ﷺ speech. The manner in which He ﷺ spoke, and the correct manner in which His ﷺ words should be pronounced, was manifested most perfectly in His ﷺ conversations. None was blessed with a more beautiful accent, nor with a purer, clearer tone of voice. This virtue was unique to Rasoolullah ﷺ.

Ablution of the Heart Through The Holy Prophet's Blessed Name

Ablution of the Heart Through The Holy Prophet's Blessed Name

According to Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah, even inanimate objects that are connected in any way to the Beloved Prophet are deserving of honor and respect. He writes:

"The Blessed Hair of the Holy Prophet, his Sacred Cloak, his Noble Sandals (Naalain Shareef), or his Pure Staff, if these are washed in water for the sake of Tabarruk (seeking blessings), then such water is valid for performing wudu, However, it should not be poured over the feet, as that would go against the etiquette of reverence. If it is poured over the face, the Wudu of the face is completed. In fact, by merely mentioning his Pure Name, the heart itself attains a spiritual ablution."- (Fataawa Razawiyyah Shareef, Chapter of Tahaarat, Volume 2, Page 595, Raza Foundation, Lahore)

Spiritual Lessons from the Relics of the Holy Prophet ﷺ

  • Respect everything connected to the Holy Prophet.

  • Objects associated with him bring blessings and spiritual benefit.

  • Always observe proper manners (adab) when handling such blessed items.

  • Loving and honoring the Holy Prophet strengthens our faith and heart.

Does Lying Or Backbiting Break One's Wudu?

Does Lying Or Backbiting Break One's Wudu?

A man once asked the Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah:

"If someone, while in a state of wudu, tells a lie, engages in backbiting, or uses foul language, does this invalidate his wudu?"

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah replied:

"It is recommended that he renew his wudu. If, however, he were to perform the Salaah with the same wudu, the Salaah would still be valid, though he would have acted against what is recommended."
(Malfoozaat-e-Ala Hazrat, Volume 3, Page 381-Maktabatul Madinah, Karachi)

From this it becomes clear that the Sacred Shariah encourages us to care not only for outward purity but also for inward purification.

The Recommended Days for Setting Forth on a Journey

The Recommended Days for Setting Forth on a Journey

It is related that an individual once enquired from Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah: "Which days are specifically meritorious for commencing a journey?"

Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah replied: "Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. In the Hadith Shareef, it is stated:

On the day of Saturday before the rising of the sun, whosoever goes forth in pursuit of a need, I (The Holy Prophet) shall be his guarantor. (Kanzul-'Ummaal)

Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Alaihir Rahmah then added:

"Alhamdulillah! during my second blessed journey to the Haramain Tayyibain, both my departure from this land (India) and my return from there occurred on one of these three days. Moreover, by the Grace of Allah Almighty, the day of my birth also falls on a Saturday." (Malfoozaat-e-Ala Hazrat, Part 1, Page 60, Maktabatul-Madinah, Karachi)

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat's Obedience To His Parents

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat's Obedience To His Parents

Hazrat Sayyid Shah Isma'eel Hasan Mia Saaheb Alaihir Rahmah says that Almighty Allah made Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan Saaheb the embodiment of extrinsic and intrinsic splendours, in qualities and marvels. Whoever you look at (in this time) you will find those qualities to be at a greater level in Maulana.

His obedience to his parents was such, that when Maulana's beloved father, Maulana Naqi Ali Khan Alaihir Rahmah passed away, he was personally the owner of his estate, but he gave the control of everything to his beloved mother.

She became the complete owner and administrator, and she would use and spend as she wished. Even if Maulana needed an insignificant sum of money to purchase Kitaabs, Maulana would request it from his mother, and mention his necessity.

When she accepted his request and gave permission, then only would he purchase the Kitaabs.
(Sayyidi Ala Hazrat the Qaadiri Gem, Volume 1, Page 175/Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre Overport, Durban)

Key Lessons:

1. Honour and obey parents in all matters.

2. Show humility, even if you have authority.

3. Value their rights and decisions.

4. Seek their pleasure for blessings in life and faith.

An Easy Wazeefah to Relieve Depression

An Easy Wazeefah to Relieve Depression

Maulvi Abdur Rahman Sahib of Bihari Jaipuri once asked Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah: Haaji Abdul Jabbar Sahib often feels worried and depressed. Please suggest a simple Wazeefah to help him.

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah advised: Tell him to recite the Laa hawl Shareef, that is:

لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ العَلِيِّ العَظِيمِ

Transliteration: Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billaahil-'aliyyil-'azeem.

Reciting it regularly protects against ninety-nine types of problems and calamities, the easiest of which is worry and depression. He should recite it sixty times, blow on some water, and drink it every day. In Sha Allah, this will remove his worries and restlessness. (Malfoozat-e-Ala Hazrat, Part 1, Page 128, Maktaba-tul-Madinah, Karachi)

The Virtue of Counting the Remembrance of Allah on the Fingertips

The Virtue of Counting the Remembrance of Allah on the Fingertips

Someone once asked the Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah, whether the practice of counting the remembrance of Allah Almighty on one's fingertips, is mentioned in the Hadith Shareef?

The Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah responded:

"There is no specific prescribed method detailed in the Hadith Shareef; however, there is a narration which says:

وَاعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ مُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ

Translation: Count the Tasbeeh and remembrance of Allah

Almighty upon the fingertips, for indeed they will be questioned, and they will be made to speak.
(Tirmidhi Shareef, Chapter of Supplication / Malfuzaat-e-Ala Hazrat, Part 4, Page 475 / Maktaba-tul-Madinah, Karachi)

This encourages us to keep track of our Dhikr (remembrance of Allah Almighty) by using our fingertips.

A Proven Practice for Increase and Blessing in Sustenance

A Proven Practice for Increase and Blessing in Sustenance

Once a person humbly presented himself in the blessed court of the Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah and said: "Your Eminence, please grant me a supplication or Wazeefa that brings blessings in sustenance, for I am currently facing great hardship and distress.?"

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah replied: "Once, a noble Companion RadiAllahu Anhu came into the blessed presence of the Mercy to the Worlds and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the world has turned away from me.' The Holy Prophet said: 'Do you not recall that glorification which is the glorification of the angels, and by whose blessing sustenance is granted? Through it, the world will come to you in abundance. At the rise of early morning just after Subh Saadiq, recite this Tasbeeh one hundred times daily:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ اسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ

Only seven days later, that blessed Companion RadiAllahu Anhu returned to the noble court of the Messenger and, overjoyed yet astonished, said: "O Messenger of Allah! Wealth is now pouring in upon me in such abundance that I do not know how to carry it or where to put it!"

Sayyidi Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah then advised that person: "Make this glorification your regular practice. Recite it, as far as possible, immediately after Subh Saadiq or else before Fajr Salaah. If the congregational Salaah for Fajr begins before you complete it, join the Jama'at and complete the recitation after Salaah. And if on any day you are unable to recite it before Fajr, then be sure to complete it before sunrise."

The Respect Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Had For Elders

The Respect Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah Had For Elders

In Islam, respecting elders is of great importance. Hence the well-known saying: "The respectful are blessed, and the disrespectful are deprived." The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:

لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤَقِّرْ كَبِيرَنَا

Translation: That person who does not show compassion to the younger ones and that person who does not show honour to the elders is not from amongst us (our society).
(Musnad Ahmad)

Following the example of Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddique RadiAllahu Anhu, Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Alaihir Rahmah would personally wash the hands of respected guests and serve them food. Throughout his blessed life, there was never an occasion when he neglected the respect due to his elders or showed the slightest reluctance in honoring them. He consistently treated them with the highest esteem and deep reverence.

When You See Anyone On His Deathbed

It Is Time Το Reflect

Ibn Mubaarak reported from Hazrat Ibn Ab'bas Radi Allahu Anhu who said, 'When You See Anyone On His Death Bed, Then Give Him Glad Tidings of Meeting His Creator, And Being Hopeful of Goodness From Him; And When You Meet With A Living Person (Someone Who Is Well), Warn Him About Fearing Allah (i.e. Warn Him About Allah's Punishment).'

107 Years Urs of Aala Hazrat

Quote of The Day

Sayyidi Aala Hazrat Azeem ul Barkat Radi Allahu Anhu refuted the deviants' false beliefs and authored dozens of treatises dismantling their corrupt doctrines. This year marks the 107th Urs of Sayyidi Aala Hazrat Radi Allahu Anhu. Over the past one hundred and seven years, many have sought to undermine and derail his mission. Of late, certain self-styled modern scholars, professing 'Sunniyat' and claiming to follow Sayyidi Aala Hazrat, have attempted to twist his works to suit their own dubious agendas. Yet, like those before them, they too shall fail, for the mission of Sayyidi Aala Hazrat is protected by Almighty Allah and His Beloved Rasool ﷺ.

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah And His Strict Adherence to Shari'ah

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah And His Strict Adherence to Shari'ah

Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah, followed the Shari'ah in every matter of life. It is mentioned that if he gave something to someone and the person reached out with the left hand, he would pause and gently say, "Take it with your right hand, for Shaitaan takes with the left."

Even when writing numbers, he preferred the right side.

For the numerical value of Bismillah Shareef (786), people usually write 7, then 8, then 6. Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah, however, would write 6 first, then 8, then 7, so that even the numbers were written from the right-hand side, in line with the Sunnah.

From this, we learn that the Shari'ah and Sunnah should guide us in every part of life, even in the smallest and simplest actions.

Adab of Hadith Shareef – As Practised by Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah

Adab of Hadith Shareef – As Practised by Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah

Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah was a shining example of how to honour the sacred words of our Beloved Prophet. His life reflected the highest Adab (etiquette) for Hadith Shareef. Here are a few glimpses:

He would teach Hadith Shareef while sitting humbly in the Tashahhud position.

He never touched or taught Hadith Shareef without being in a state of wudu.

He never placed any book on top of Hadith Shareef books.

If someone interrupted during the explanation of Hadith Shareef, he would become visibly upset, his blessed face would turn red with intensity.

He disliked people sitting with one leg over the other during Hadith Shareef lessons, considering it disrespectful.

Let's revive the love, reverence, and adab for the words of our Beloved Prophet in our hearts and homes.

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat's (Alaihir Rahma) Practice of Making Abundant Dua During Janaazah Salaah

Sayyidi Ala Hazrat's (Alaihir Rahma) Practice of Making Abundant Dua During Janaazah Salaah

Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah, was known for his deep compassion toward all members of the Ahl-e-Sunnat Wa Jama'at. He would frequently attend Janaazah Salaah and express his heartfelt sympathy for the deceased by making abundant and sincere Dua, both during the Janaazah Salaah and after it.

As mentioned in Hayaat-e-Ala Hazrat, whenever Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah led a Janaazah Salaah, those present would feel as though he was passionately interceding for the forgiveness of the departed soul. His Janaazah Salaah would often last longer than usual. The reason, though simple, was deeply meaningful, he would recite all the duas related to Janaazah that are found in the Hadiths, reflecting his sincere care and love for the deceased.

We should also adopt this noble practice from the blessed life of Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah. Our duas should not be limited to ourselves; we should also remember our parents, teachers, relatives, and the entire Muslim Ummah, asking Allah Almighty to forgive them, have mercy on them, and elevate their ranks in the hereafter.

Nabi ﷺ was ever-gentle and gracious in matters concerning Himself and in worldly affairs, yet in matters regarding Almighty Allah, He ﷺ was uncompromisingly firm. Imam-e-Ahle Sunnat, Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah was extremely kind and caring towards every Muslim, whether close or a stranger. He had a deep love for people and always wished well for others. He cared so much for his family members, friends, companions, and special followers that he made a long list of their names. After the Fajr Salaah, at the end of his regular litanies and supplications, he would make Dua for each of them by name. People used to hope that their names would also be included in this blessed list.

Sayyid Ayyoob Ali Sahib shared:

"One day I was very worried and asked for Dua. Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah made Dua for me and said to me and my brother, Sayyid Qana'at Ali, I have now added both your names to my Dua list. This list has become quite long over time, but I have memorised all the names and make Dua for each one daily, by name." (Hayaat-Ala Hazrat by Hazrat Maulana Zafaruddeen Bihari, Maktabah Nabawiyyah, page 939 / Faizaan-e-Ala Hazrat, page 180)

The blessed life of Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah teaches us what it means to be a true Muslim and a sincere leader: to be kind, to make Dua for others, organised, and always concerned about the well-being of others.

A Glimpse into the Gatherings of Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah

A Glimpse into the Gatherings of Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah

The gatherings of Sayyidi Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Alaihir Rahmah were filled with the remembrance of Allah Almighty, love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and deep Islamic knowledge. He would strictly avoid worldly discussions and remained constantly engaged in the service and propagation of Deen. His gatherings were true fountains of knowledge and spirituality. Thus Huzoor Sadrush-Shariah Allama Mufti Amjad Ali Aazami Alaihir Rahma states:

"After Jumu'ah, a large gathering would remain present. People would commonly ask religious questions, and Ala Hazrat Alaihir Rahmah would respond, sometimes elaborating on a Hadith or a verse of the Qur'an, or sharing incidents from the lives of the Awliya (saints). No one from those who frequented his blessed court can say they ever heard him engage in worldly talk. His speech was always centered on religious matters."
