Burial of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq
It is reported that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq expressed
his will that his funeral or janaza should be taken to the blessed tomb of the
Beloved Messenger of Allah and then it should be said,
“Asswalatu was-salamu alayka ya RasulAllah, Abu Bakr is present
at your door.”
The companions
followed his advice. The doors of the blessed tomb opened on their own, and a
voice was heard coming from the blessed grave saying,
“Udkhulul Habib ila Habib [Bring the beloved to his
beloved].”
“The flame suffices the moth; the flower is enough for the
bird.
The Beloved of Allah is enough to fulfill Siddiq's needs.”
